Nature photography is a way for me to experience life in the moment and escape the stresses of everyday life. I mostly photograph birds and animals in the wild , but I occasionally shoot landscapes. The mystery and appeal of wildlife photography is that because you have so little control over your subject matter, you have to be able to adapt very quickly to what nature presents you. Most of the time everything works against you, but every once in a while everything converges and you can create a great photograph.
I tend to use a combination of flash with a slow shutter speed, which gives my photos a sense of both stillness and motion. How the background and color affects the subject matter is one of the key elements in my photography.
